Our mission is to help you share and gain knowledge and help improve wisdom throughout the surgical world. Personal Information

 

When you sign up for or use PONSIST, certain information is given to us voluntarily. This includes your name, email address, phone number, medical license number, profile photo, comments, surgical specialty, areas of interest and any other information that you may provide. We additionally store your payment information for payment collection services.

 

We gather the initial information for verification purposes. Upon being provided access to the Society you can delete, edit or add information to  your profile at any time. 

We will not use, share or sell any of your information outside PONSIST Global Surgical Society, period.

 

How and when we share information?

 

PONSIST is exclusively available to members who are verified surgical specialists (in training). Our closed Society and its content are inaccessible by anyone or anything outside of the platform.

 

Only verified members are allowed access to the Society’s content. Visibility of content within the Society is based on surgical specialty and subspecialty.

Once credentialed and verified, other members can see your profile with the information you have chosen to display.

 

In case a law enforcement authority as well as the law itself dictates us to share information relating to your account, we will cooperate with the relevant authority, order or request. However, we will only share information if we believe that such disclosures are reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person, or PONSIST; or to detect, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues. 

 

How long we keep your information?

 

We keep your information only for the period necessary to provide PONSIST to you and fulfil the various purposes described in this policy. When there is no need to use your information and/or there is no need for us to keep it to  comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies, we will delete such information from our systems or depersonalise it.
